The Wynn hotel and casino already offers spectacular rooms. Now they have taken service to the next level! For example, instead of trying to figure out the controller to open the drapes just tell the room to open the drapes! Amazon Echo Room Voice Control with Alexa smarts has been added to the Wynn hotel. This feature adds voice control to allow patrons to control their environment!

Apparently this is the first time this type of voice control has been offered. As of the date of preparing this post, not all rooms have voice control. Subsequently the feature is being added to all rooms over the next few months. We cannot wait to try it live!

There will be some kinks to work out, however knowing Steve Wynn’s reputation it will not take long to sort them out. This is one of the best hotels to stay at in Las Vegas. Even their regular rooms are well above the majority of rooms available across the city in other hotels.

Yes they are expensive but they are worth it. Like all other casino properties, if you gamble and use a slot card, the room may be compensated. Always use a slot card when playing and check with your host to see what rates they will offer for these really fantastic rooms.

Just as baby boomers over the last several decades influenced the economy, millennial’s are about to take over. So what does this mean for the casino industry? Many people are attempting to figure this out. From overall Casino design, entertainment, table games and slots it will have a huge impact. Can casinos adapt to millennials?

Industry experts tell us that millennial’s are more willing to spend money on entertainment, and bottle service than they are on Slots. The slot machine designers are attempting to introduce more interaction with the video game itself. Highly skilled video games can be easily played on their phones, computers etc.. What will attract a millennial to the casino?

Many people believe the casinos have to step up their game with more interesting entertainment, for service, and venues that are attractive to millennial’s. Part of the challenge is to get them into the building in the first place. They will choose to spend their money in these areas and a very few dollars on the slots.

This is a fundamental change or shift from what Casino’s currently offer. If they do not up the ante on slots and table games, they stand to lose huge numbers of customers. Baby boomers are addicted to Slot Machines and willing to play, but not so the millennial’s.

It will be interesting to see how Casino’s who are competitive and forward thinking will up the ante in the next few years. Unfortunately bureaucratic government run casinos likely will fall behind and result in lower revenue for the local governments that operate them.

We really enjoy visiting the Aquarius Hotel in Laughlin Nevada. We have had great service, dining and also enjoy the casino. The last time we visited, we had a small problem the last time we stayed there. We filled in an Aquarius Guest Hotel Satisfaction Surveys. My  wife and I wanted to let them know that there was a problem. We hoped that management would see our comments and take appropriate action. It turns out that they did and not only took action, they also called us to discuss it. This was a surprise to us and also one that we appreciate. It is nice to know that someone is paying attention.

During the call with the Aquarius hotel employee, who was actually a casino host member, an offer was made to us. They actually offered us a 3 night free stay at the hotel. We are to personally call her  to make the reservation the next time we plan to visit the Aquarius.

When we left the survey comments without any expectations. This was a really great response and the hotel has gained our continued loyalty. We will visit Laughlin Nevada again and definitely will stay at the Aquarius hotel again.

Another reason to tip is that it tells the server they can expect a tip each time that you order. We have often seen them come back time and again to see if we needed another drink. They know they will get a tip and they deliver based on the level of tipping they receive.

How much should you tip? We typically will tip $1.00 per drink. This seems to be the norm and it also obtains the desired response. i.e. the server coming back in 10 or 15 minutes to see if we are ready for another round. Yes the drinks are free at the Beau Rivage in Mississippi!
